Frances Toledano

Hello My Name Is...

Fran Toledano

Third Grade Teacher, Fran Toledano

I currently teach ELA and Social Studies in a third grade Spanish dual language class.

I teach because I love watching my students when they grasp a new idea or concept for the first time.  It is my hope that I can make a difference in their lives by inspiring them, building their confidence, and instilling in them the importance and rewards that comes from an education.  I believe I do more than teach.  I hope when they leave my classroom at the end of a school year, my impact on them during those 180 days continues beyond the classroom and throughout their lives.
I have a BS degree in Elementary Education from Francis Marion University and a MS degree in Elementary Education form the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  I am a National Board Certified Teacher 2002 and renewed 2012.
I have taught grades 1-6 throughout my 34 years of teaching.  I live on Daufuskie Island with my husband, John.  I have three children.  My oldest, Hall, is 30 and lives in NYC.  My middle child, Mary Frances, is 28 and lives in Mount Pleasant, S.C.  My youngest, Altman, is a senior at the USC in Columbia.  I love reading books and spending time with my family and friends.
